When Brian came to me he wanted an all day bicycle that would wear a Campagnolo Record group ( older aluminum crankset vintage ) with style. He had two other requests, mostly white, and traditional design. “ Lugs? “ I asked, yes he said and added “ can there be Bees on the frame ? “. I asked “ can there be honeycomb as well ? “. We agreed. With Columbus tubing as the heart of this design things started to come together quickly. The fun was that the angles for the century ride were not what the lugs were designed to do, so I cut them apart and fillet brazed them back together to make what looks to be a lugged frame, add in a fastback seat cluster and some honey drop as cut outs in the lugs. All topped off with a off white paint with honeycomb paint. The local bees don’t seem to mind either.
